It’s so rare that we come across truly GOOD customer service. I’ve had a half-dozen instances lately where the opportunity existed for good customer service. In only 2 instances was the customer service even decent. Of that, only 1 was an experience that I could actually use. The other was a service not available to me. Thankfully the one I could use was the best, and they deserve the attention.
So thank you to Apple for my iPhone issues. My phone had gone on the fritz. It still worked, but key functions were not responding and I determined that the phone was experiencing a hardware failure.
I called Apple and they told me I could send it in. But I didn’t want to go a few days without a phone so my other option was to go to an Apple store. I made an appointment. When I got there they were busy so I still had to wait 20 minutes or so.
But when an employee came up to me she was friendly and apologized for the wait. I explained the problem and she took my phone. 5 minutes later she came back with a new phone for me.
It only cost me time and gas. The new phone was free because my broken one was covered under warranty.
This all seems so simple, but how often do you actually experience something like that? No fighting, no push-back, no questions. Just simple service with a smile.
Thank you Apple. So much customer service lately has been a pain in the butt. It was nice to get a break from terrible experiences I’ve had lately. Thank you for just doing the right thing. I know your products are a bit pricey, but for this kind of customer service it’s worth it.
