I’m spending most of today in my car, transporting some precious cargo. The family is making a transition that is going to take a couple of months to integrate. But today I’m most excited to escape the city. Between the harsh weather 24 hour news cycle, and stresses of day to day life it’s nice to escape hectic life and schedules.
It’s just for today, but I find myself this afternoon in the country. I’m surrounded by trees, blue skies, views that go for miles, and very few people.
What I’m most impressed with is nature’s ability to take back land once claimed by man. Fields cleared just a few years ago are already overgrown and the beautiful greenery is like a see of the hue. Cherry blossoms are nice and all, but spring in the country has a more natural beauty.
I’m signing off from the country, I’m back to the grindstone again in just a few short hours.
