And I would have loved to hear more about how the kid in you has learned to join forces with the grown up you since then... Kids certainly are great at bringing out the kid in us. I've learnt a lot from observing other kids & especially my own (and I now started to blog about it at www.forthekidinme.com).  However, kids grow up, while my dogs were and are always great at keeping the kid in me alive and kicking. Kids certainly are great at bringing out the kid in us. I’ve learnt a lot from observing other kids & especially my own (and I now started to blog about it at http://www.forthekidinme.com).  However, kids grow up, while my dogs were and are always great at keeping the kid in me alive and kicking.

Having kids will definitely help. I get to relive all kinds of kid stuff with my boys and take credit for being a good dad while doing it. I've rediscovered Monopoly and Stratego and "Summer in the City" and Andy Griffith and Mary Tyler Moore and all sorts of stuff. We explore all the angles together, just like I did with my friends the first time around. The killer is going to be when they don't need me for this stuff anymore.
