The Washington Post ran a story about dogs on Capitol Hill. They also included a slideshow with some of the dogs. As a converted dog lover (I love my dog, not yours, and still love all cats), I thought it might be interesting to see what kinds of dogs are hanging out on the Hill in a given week.
I was disappointed in the choices of dogs our congresspeople. But then again, considering the fact they are congresspeople, I wasn’t surprised. Only one person even had a dog on the list of top 5 dogs in the US. Way to represent your constituency.
The good news is a few people have mutts or rescued animals, which is great. The bad news will be when I’m elected and bring the boxer pup to take a wizz on people I don’t like. And since this is Capitol Hill, he’ll wizz on everyone.
But until then, enjoy the slideshow of these elected dog lovers. Next person to run with a boxer gets my vote.
