I read often, but this is my first comment. Anyone who is interested in this topic should definitely read Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers. Turns out that all the "big wins" we love to write and think and dream about usually break down to a combination of systems, society and lots and lots of practice (10,000 hours seems to be the magic number).
