Aes some of you are aware, I’ve been traveling and left the power cord to my laptop at home. Well now I can tell you I am in Maui.

At first I was devastated that I wouldn’t be able to write posts for you. But then I realized I was in Maui and no longer cared. And after that I started thinking like an economist.

I could go buy a replacement cord for the astounding price of $100. Immediatly I would now be connected to the world, and my readers again. But for some reason I remained cheap and didn’t buy it.

An economist could now value how much you readers are worth to me. Since I’m not willing to pay $100 to write full posts for you for a week, you readers are worth less than $100 a week, or $14 a day in utility to me.

This doesn’t even include the calculations of the convenience of not having to use my phone for Internet here, so it could be even less than $14.

But then again I felt compelled to share my thoughts with you. So I went through the trouble to write this on my iPhone.

More Maui inspired posts as I get them.
