If you’re the thinking type, you’ve probably pondered once or twice on whether or not you should eat meat. Any sensible human should have at least considered it. You’re not just some primal animal, you’re a cultured human, and are better than others. But, you’re probably like me and decided a nice juicy burger just isn’t worth giving up.
But many people are vegetarians, vegans, pescetarians, or some other kind of herbivores because they feel some kind of guild about eating animals.
Well, talk to any biologist, and you’ll learn that you might should be feeling the same guilt about plants. You may not hear plants cry out in pain, but they do. You don’t think they adapt to surroundings, sense danger, or search for food, but they do.
Those of you that feel guilt about eating animals, only do so because they exhibit behaviors closer to our own. Because you can’t observe the same behaviors in plants, you’re assuming that they are less complex species, or somehow deserve to live less than animals.
I say shame on you for your ignorance. Treat all plants and animals equally by eating them all. Read more about your new found guilt in the New-York Times science section.

You overlook major points:
Plants are not sentient beings
Plant processing does not result in large-scale pollution
Human digestive systems are similar to those of herbivores, not carnivores. Colon cancer is high among meat eaters because our intestines are not desigened to quickly and efficeintly eliinate toxic waste that comes from eating flesh
