Great catch and actually inspires me to look at other charts and see if we can't make them over the same way. For example: Golly gee is the World Bank funding lots of nice bureaucrats! http://www.visualeconomics.com/what-is-the-world-bank-funding/

You're joking, but there's an important point being made here.

I believe in something that I think of as "the Gene Mauch rule." Mauch (I may have the spelling of his name wrong) was the manager of the Philadelpihia Phillies when I was a boy. He once argued that the role of a manager was to temper the egos of his team when things were going well and to offer lots of encouragement and support when the team was on a losing streak. I think that general idea applies in all sorts of life situations. Things are never as bad as they seem to be when they are bad and things are never as good as they seem to be when they are good.

Pre-crash, conditions were ripe for a crash. We didn't see it, but it was so.

Today, we really do have a lot of good workers ready and able to make a difference. We just need to figure out how to get out of this mess and then watch things take off.

Sometimes by burning things to the ground we open up the opportunity for incredible growth. Good times lead to bad times and bad times lead to good times.

Rob
