Zombieland looks like an insane movie.  There aren’t many movies that are funny and based around Zombies taking over the world, but one other does come to mind.

You may or may not like my lists when I relate something in pop-culture to money.  Recently I chose a James Bond movie, but I’ve also done the Tour de France, Star Wars and more.

It’s in that spirit (though not a copying spirit) that Soo-Young (follow him on Twitter) from Bullishness.com created 10 Things Zombieland Taught Me About Stock Market Investing.

Soo-Young gets automatic publicity because of his donation to Weakonomics.com.  Donating to this website comes with perks such as free publicity.  One might call me a sellout for money, and they are perhaps right.  I am after all a capitalist so I have no shame about wanting to make money, and lots of it. But that isn’t why I do donations.  Donations make me very little compared to other income sources.  However, when you donate to Weakonomics you help to keep it going, but more importantly half of all your donation goes to support organizations I’m fond of.  Right now we’re working towards Jump$tart for Education and you can read all about the donation process on my donation page.  So thank you Soo-Young, not only for supporting Weakonomics, but for supporting financial literacy.

But enough about donations.  I want you to check out Soo-Young’s site and especially his list about Zombieland.  Even if you haven’t seen the movie (like me) there’s plenty of insight and good lessons from a guy that knows his stuff; he’s currently working on a masters degree in financial mathematics, which is hardcore finance.  Soo-Young is a true brother in finance and I hope to see his blog continue to grow and develop.  Thank you again good sir.
