There are a few products on this planet that I would endorse without question because they bring me so much happiness.  BMWs, Pentel RSVP pens, Rainbow flip-flops, Vanguard, Sam Adams, Sudafed (not that PE crap either) and Mozilla Firefox are just a few examples.  Today I want to talk to you about Brach’s Candy Corn and Autumn Mix.

I’m a bit of a candy corn nut.  I’m not sure what it is about them, though I imagine the overwhelming sweetness is probably a factor.  Though I do have a sweet tooth, I also try to watch what I eat.  Candy corn is a guilt free treat since it has no fat.  And if you listen to your inner fatty you’ll know that no fat = healthy!  That isn’t true, but it makes it easy to eat.

I’ve tried just about every kind of candy corn in existence.  The breakdown of the industry is basically Brach’s and then a bunch of private label brands.  Only starting in September does Brach’s really churn out the kernels.  They by far make the best candy corn.  Most candy corn is good, but Brach’s is the best.  When this time of year roles around, I go insane on the candy corn; especially the Autumn Mix.

Brach’s Autumn Mix is a blend of regular candy corn, indian corn, and mellowcreme pumpkins.  It’s hard for me to see these in the store on not buy them.  Even harder is to stop eating them once I’ve started.  I usually have to go until I’m so sick I can’t really move.  It’s great because The Sheconomist doesn’t like candy corn so I know when I buy it I don’t have to share!

So Brach’s thank you for making such a wonderful treat.  If you, or anyone else listed above, want to sponsor Weakonomics, I’ll totally take half my payment in your product.  Readers, go get some candy corn.  I know I am.
