There aren’t many things that get me excited: The Sheconomist, The Boxer, Star Wars, and chocolate pretty much cover it. But every September something else gets me excited too: FOOTBALL!
I still don’t quite understand why I like football so much, but it must come down to the excitement of every play being vital to winning the game. In baseball, you can play a week’s worth of games and the outcomes don’t matter. In football, one or two wrong plays can make the difference between the playoffs and bowl games, or an end to your season early.
It’s also the incredible displays of athleticism as seen below.
If you want to find more good videos of football catches, just Google “crazy football catches,” that’s all I did.
But I also like football because it brings people and the local economies together, I’m actually working on a week’s worth of posts on the economics of football, hopefully I’ll be able to finish it and still love the sport.
My love for football is for both college and professional and so I’ll sign off with an invitation for you to call out your favorite college and professional team in the comments.

Go Texas Tech Red Raiders!!!!!
I love football season too, way more into college football than professional but I am doing fantasy football and it really gets you more interested in the games, albeit differently, not actually caring about which team wins but which player gets the ball!
Look forward to the posts on economics of football, all the black-outs this season are interesting aspect.
