It’s Labor Day in the United States which means many people that work get the day off.  You’d think that Labor Day would mean we should all celebrate working, but alas, it’s a holiday.  The media and retail stores alike parade Labor Day like it’s some kind of a patriotic thing.  No.  All it really means today is that summer is over.  But for people with kids that means nothing because summer ended almost a month ago for you.  You can read all about Labor Day in Wikipedia’s article.  In the spirit of the holiday at least, Weakonomics is too talking the day off.  See you tomorrow when parents will no doubt be coping with this:
