I'm most like a Mrs. Bucket. I didn't start having guilt-free fun with my money until I created a "Blow" Bucket. :D

I'm a Bucket Sweeper!!!!

I even know just what the %s are - it's in the spreadsheet LOL.

I agree with the poster upthread - since the buckets do seem to be bottomless, the fact that there ARE buckets keep me from feeling guilty spending out of any category. If I want to go on vacation, I don't feel guilty because there is money set aside JUST for vacation - in its own isolated place.

Cash Cow. I think Cash Cows come from two reasons. One is laziness. It is just easier to leave that cash in an ING account or to keep large balances since we don't want to do a budget and figure out what our expenditures are. The other is fear. What if I decide to buy that house? What if I lose my job? I don't want it all tied up. Even when we are prodigious savers doesn't necessarily mean we are the most rational!

The Sweeper description sounds the most accurate, although I see elements of Mr. Bucket (my three online savings accounts, each with its own unique purpose) as well. Interesting way to describe and classify people's saving habits.

I'm probably most like the sweeper, with a little bit of CPA and Mr. Bucket. I guess that makes me a CPA Bucket Sweeper. :)
