This is a great post. My fav quote, "If someone had told me my twenties would be filled with attending 2-5 weddings per year I would have probably made sure to lose touch with as many friends and family as possible during college." I've lost count of the number of weddings I've attended, but at this point in my life I have been a bridesmaid nine times. I have the walk, the smile and how to hold the bouquet at the right angle down. Wait until you get into your late twenties/early thirties there will be a shift from weddings to babies/baby showers.

While I do not have any interesting wedding stories, I just had to tell you...You are a better man than I for going to all those weddings. I just can't do it anymore...I'm miserable at weddings and life is too short to be miserable. I feel your pain though. It got so bad that I finally had to put my foot down and tell my wife that I wouldn't go to anymore weddings. She goes alone now, and we are both happier for it. I’m 27 years old and single. I’ve been to 24 weddings in the past 5 years. I too will be at a wedding today, which will be lucky number 25. I have 4 (that I know of) coming up. I’M OVER IT. I refuse to give gifts at this point, as I’ve likely spent well over $2000 through gifts and travel over the last five years. From now on, my presence will be my presents.
