My wife and I are in the process of selling our remaining possesions in order to be able to move and travel around Australia. I personally love the 100 Thing Challenge, it's really opened my eyes to a lot of the junk that was bogging me down. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with stuff. For my wife and I though, less stuff = more time/energy/money to accomplish the goals we want to accomplish.
