I really like Kiva and have been lending money for a while now. Somewhat sadly, the return has so far beaten that from Prosper.

Kiva is one of my favorite charities. In fact, I have given away Kiva gift certificates as prizes and sponsored loans on behalf of my site. I figure I’ve been given wonderful opportunities and I’d like to help give others the same.

Very interesting concept. In fact micro – finance started off in Bangladesh and was immensely successful. The poorer segments of the society were being exploited by money lenders and even at rates as high as 20 to 25% they were able to repay the loans and still profit out of it.
