Or for PDF files, use the Adobe Reader 9 &quot;Read Out Loud&quot; function. It only works on pdfs with selectable, embedded, or OCR&#039;d text (not photos with text), so you&#039;ll need to convert any text docs or webpages you want read, into pdf format. For that you can use free versions of PrimoPDF or CutePDF. I know...too much work.

By the way, they had the feature in Reader 7 and 8, but version 9 fixes a security flaw that can allow a hacker to remotely view and control your PC, so if you have an earlier version, upgrade to Reader v9 (it&#039;s free).</description>
