In college my finance professors had a bet with the economic professors to see who could do better in the market. The fools in econ just don’t understand how the market works. It’s always about a global picture to them, and they never understand how the small things are what really impacts the economy. Macro vs Micro, Micro always wins.

#19 – right on. I just watched a documentary on the US Math Olympiad team. It had a bonus featurette on former winners and there were a couple of Harvard math superstars who started a hedge fund heavily leveraged in Collateralized Mortgage Obligations. They’re not looking too smart now.

Try hitting on a lady after you’ve smoked some garlic. I think they’d probably rather you smoke cigs. Thankfully The Sheconomist is also a fan of garlic. We’ll get addicted together and smoke it all day. Years later our children will see garlic peelings and say “you smoked garlic, why can’t I?” and I’ll reply and say “I don’t want you to make the same mistakes I did!”

I couldn’t help myself, I had to do this list. I haven’t done one in years, and then all of a sudden I just had to do it.

awesome list! Even the part about the boxer – I’ll try not to take it personally that you don’t like my cockapoo. Of course I don’t blame you, since you haven’t met him. The name “cockapoo” just doesn’t compare with “boxer,” it’s not even in the same class. Of course if you met him… it would be a different story cause he’s the coolest dog ever!!
