Of course despite all of this I'm learning the Girls Gone Wild guy and Larry Flint are still chasing after bailout money. I don't blame them, you gotta get the cheapest loans possible!

Interesting take. I agree on most fronts but it looks like when cheap taxpayer money is being dolled out left and right, even the adult industry can't keep their hands to themselves. Read today on Fox news that the Adult Entertainment Industry Wants a Bailout - search at fox news, or other news sites (Can't put link here due to spam filter)

Great question. That shows you were really thinking as you were reading.

To find the answer we can look at the parallels between the porn industry and other industries.

Is Microsoft worried about freeware?
Is Sam Adams worried about your brew from home kit?
Is U2 worried about the garage band down the road?
Is Brad Pitt worried about your high school play?
Is Suze Orman worried about "The Money-Guy?"*
Is GlaxoSmithKline worried about my sketchy neighbors?
Is Trent of TheSimpleDollar worried about me?

Though I could devote hours to this I think you get my drift. In any industry there will always be amateurs looking to mimic the pros either for entertainment as a means to launch their own careers. No matter which way you slice it, when the average Joe seeks to copy what you are getting paid to do, it's only flattering.

The adult film industry is much more concerned about pirated movies and moral extremists than amateurs.

*By the way check out the money guy's podcast at money-guy.com. He's awesome

What about the recent phenomena of amateurs providing materials for free on the internet? Will this eventually affect the adult entertainment industry's security?
