Chris, I am so sorry for the suffering you're going through right now. I can't imagine what that feels like, nor would I wish it on my worst enemies.

I'm sure you've found this but I wanted to make it available to other GMAC Mortgage customers out there. Their customer service # can be found at the following link: http://www.gmacfs.com/us/en/contact/Contact%20Us/index.html

It looks like GMAC is notorious for offering bad customer service. I've been reading a site for the past hour of other GMAC horror stories. Perhaps you can put your story up there and see if anyone can help:

why are we helping the banks when they're putting people out on the streets and on welfare. I have a loan from GMAC mortgage. I have written numerous times pleading for help in just reducing my payment so I can get current and keep my family in my home. I lost my business (gas station- independant owner) I got behind on everything. I was forced to forclose. leaving me with a debt of over 150,000.00. I have bad credit. I want to keep my home. I'm trying to pay a little to everyone. I have to save two pay checks to make a mortgage payment. I need my payment lowered so I can do it in one. to keep current. they refuse. they would rather ignore me, and send my family to the streets.
