It’s hear my friends, holiday season.  With just a few days before Thanksgiving we begin the 40 day madhouse that culminates with the end of a dreadful year (economically speaking).  I’ve always loved the holidays, not because of presents or food (both I love), but because of the happiness.

Christmas music is always cheery, people are excited to buy and receive presents, despite the fact we’ll all buy less this year.  As humans, we really enjoy happiness.  With a few exceptions (SCROOOOOOOOOOOOGE!) everyone enjoys the holiday season for one reason or another.  This happiness could be exactly what this country needs to get us out of the funk.

2008 will be important for me because it’s my last holiday season as a bachelor.  Family traditions will be altered because now I have two families to mix and mingle with.

I have already started making a list of what I want for Christmas:

A few business books
Giftcard to Kohls for work clothes
Lego Star Wars for Nintendo Wii
Cheap Tom Tom GPS navigation system

I don’t necessarily expect Santa to bring me everything I want, but I look forward to unwrapping presents Christmas morning with my family, and lot’s of good food.

Tell me in the comments what you do during the holidays and what you want for Chrismahanukwanzakah.
