I'm currently reading "The Satanic Verses" by Salman Rushdie. It's probably not your cup of tea being that it's not fantasy or financial. But it's a profoundly thought-provoking novel that reads relatively easily. Some of the lingo/jokes are tough just because it's, well, Indian/Muslim-oriented, but regardless, I think you'd enjoy it. It's 500-600 pages, but it goes quickly and keeps you engaged. It's one of those books where a bunch of separate parts are woven together at the end.

Amazon has a bunch of good reviews about it.
