As you read this, I am likely on vacation. A mini trip to visit my brother and the town I went to college. Its my first vacation since starting work at my bank and boy did I need it! Here are a few tips I’m keeping in mind in my travels to insure the most frugality possible:
- Packing snacks for the road (I’m a sucker for convenience stores).
- Traveling at specific times to minimize time spent sitting in traffic
- Having tires slightly overinflated for increased mileage
- Packing light to minimize weight
- Bought some tickets online at a discount for tours
- I’m crossing into a state with less gas tax and filling up there
Now for some flashback links to my site. My favorite post of the month (so far) was “Why Big Oil Isn’t Your Enemy”. Google and other search engines have been picking it up left and right and driving some new traffic to this site. Each Weaky Award has become increasingly popular. It looks like many readers are sending these to friends. Keep it up! And yes, even the Weakonomist screws up and gets his facts wrong. Thanks again AmerisourceBergen for catching that!
And my link of the week is most surely createdebate.com. Its exactly what it sounds like. Think of it as an informal polling system. Here an example of a debate thats in line with the subject matter of my site: Outsourcing Jobs. I’m actually using createdebate.com for inspiration on new topics for the blog, like Global Warming. That’s all for this week. Thanks for reading and have fun on createdebate.com. Create your own debate, send me the link, and I’ll contribute.
